Information Technology Services Employment Opportunities for Students
Each year, IT Services has a limited number of paid part-time positions available for qualified students. Below is a summary of duties and responsibilities, plus a description of preferred qualifications. If you are interested in applying for a position, please complete the application, schedule, employment agreement forms and bring them to IT Services on the Ground Level of Templeton Hall. Positions do fill quickly, so we recommend that you get your forms in as soon as possible.
Position Title: Information Technology Support Assistant
Purpose of Position: To assist as needed in meeting the IT needs of the campus
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide basic IT/Media support for classes and events
- Audio and video record classroom, chapel services and campus events
- Respond to miscellaneous IT support requests as needed
- Provide on-site customer service at various campus locations as assigned
- Work a minimum of 7 hours per week, and 2 hours per shift
- Be available for evening and weekend assistance as needed
Qualifications:
- Training provided, but IT and media experience and demonstrated aptitude preferred
- Extremely reliable (on-time) with professional decorum with good “people skills”
- Ability to follow instructions and take direction from supervisors
- Ability to be a team player, and to work well under pressure.
Salary: $8.75 per hour
Length of Employment:
One semester, renewable based on performance and schedule

- Assist with transcription correction; review content and flag best shots
- Assist with organization and sharing of footage
- Assist with equipment set-up and take-down, etc. as needed for video shoots.
- Assist with other production support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be organized, reliable, self-motivated and teachable, with good communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Requires strong typing skills, a good eye and a sense of what makes a good story.
- Video production and post-production experience preferred but not required
Salary: $8.75 per hour

Position: Video Production Assistant

Job Duties: Assist with audio, lighting, camera-work, equipment set-up and take-down, etc. for video shoots. Assist with post-production efforts, including logging shots, transcribing interviews, rough edits, and other support as needed.
Qualifications: Must be organized, reliable, self-motivated and teachable, with excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor. Should have an understanding of mac computer hardware and software programs. Should have some video production and post-production experience, with NLE experience preferred (Adobe Suite CS6).
8-10 hours per week

Job description: Rake leaves; apply mulch using pitch fork and wheelbarrow; apply topsoil to lawns and gardens using tractor, iron rake, and shovel; cut grass with push mower; trim grass with weed whacker; plant flowers; edge sidewalks with edger machine; hand weed gardens and flower beds; rake leaves by hand and use leaf blower; pick up trash in 55 gallon buckets and empty into trash truck; pick up bundled newspapers and deliver to recycling center; move furniture as needed; clean window wells of leaves, debris (requires removing metal grate covers); pick up tree limbs, sticks, twigs, and other debris from lawns, roads, etc.
Weekday shifts: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

STUDENT DRIVERS:
The Office of Housing and Auxiliary Services is looking for student drivers. Students would be using PTS minivans to drive members of PTS; such as executive council, president, and visiting guests and speakers to and from various area airports (Newark, Philly, JFK) and train station. Must have valid driver's license and good driving record. Hours are very flexible. Apply to housing@psem.edu.
II. PRINCETON AREA JOBS
Independent Bookstore Now Hiring
Labyrinth Books is a busy, multi-faceted, independent academic and community bookstore in Princeton, serving Princeton University in all its coursebook needs. As we prepare for the fall coursebook rush, we are looking for several articulate and widely-read employees to add to the staff.
The open positions are temp positions that entail help with coursebook receiving and set-up, help on the sales floor, and general customer service to students at the start of the semester. Must bring a strong work ethic, energy for being on your feet a lot, and strong communication and customer service skills. 24 hr/week minimum, full-time available. Longer term work is possible but can't be promised.
In terms of the overall work environment, we place a premium on collaboration and open communication. Note: These are not summer positions; we are looking for candidates who can work at least through the end of September. Flexible start date. Compensation commensurate with experience.
