On April 26th, 2009, the Centers for Disease Control declared a Public Health Emergency due to the H1N1 Influenza. The State Department of Education has compiled a list of resources and information (pdf). The general public should continue the following measures that are effective in reducing the risk of spreading infectious diseases:
- See your healthcare provider if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.
- Cover your mouth when coughing and sneezing. Dispose of used tissues properly.
- Stay home if you are sick.
